Saturday November 12, 2011
Time: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Price: $50 ($20 student fee, $30 for materials)

The Continuous Strand Weaving Method is a way of weaving both the warp and the weft with one continuous strand of yarn from a center pull ball of yarn. The weaver lays down the first two set-up rows of warp, then weaves a loop over and under the warps. The loop is then opened and spread across the loom. The bottom of each lop becomes the next warp, and the two sides of each loop become two wefts woven, one on each side of the loom. The entire weaving is finger-manipulated with no shedding devices use. (information from "Continuous Strand Weaving Method" by Carol Leigh Brack-Kaiser)
Teacher's Biography:
Sharon has several years of experience working with alpaca fiber. She knits, crochets, weaves, and is accomplished at dyeing yarn for her various project.
"I was introduced to Tri-loom weaving about a year ago and find that I can produce nice weavings in a short period of time. I have enjoyed the variety of projects that I can do with this type of weaving and wish to share it with others."
