Instructor's Bio: I learned to knit in Elementary school in Germany and have been knitting ever since. When my husband and I started to raise alpacas, I couldn't wait to start knitting with alpaca yarn. I started a knitting group three years ago and was amazed that most knitters used the "English" method - or "throwing" the yarn. It looks complicated and cumbersome to me, but works well for them, because that's how they learned. A few of my knitters have switched to the "Continental" method - or "picking" the yarn and agree it's easier and faster. Like everything else, it takes practice. renate is the co-owner of Alpacas at Lone Ranch.
